Sometimes things just happen naturally, without any plan behind them. After many years, I’ve started again to share and offer my own artwork – canvas pieces and prints – on my website. Around the same time, something very similar happened with an old friend of mine. We’ve known each other since our youth and spent countless hours together – painting, exploring new ideas, creating. At some point, life took us in different directions: he moved to Switzerland, I stayed in Stuttgart. Yet the same creative energy seems to have stayed with both of us. Without either of us knowing, KENK launched his own shop there – creating and producing his own T-shirts. What he does isn’t about fast trends; it’s the result of years of experience, passion, and a fine sense for quality and design. I still have a T-shirt he printed back in 2007 – it’s been through a lot with me and is still in great shape today. That alone says a lot about his work. I’m happy to share his project here for everyone visiting my...

EN: Absent Face is not a decorative image. It is a manifesto, a fragment from a zone where man and machine collide. The figure appears half soldier, half armor, heavy and angular, wrapped in a toxic yellow and at the same time cut by dark shadows. The face is missing – erased, absent. This absence is the essence of the work: the body is present, but the identity remains lost. Formale Analyse / Formal Analysis DE: Die Farbwahl ist radikal: Gelb als toxisches Warnsigna...

My Technique/Meine Technik

At the beginning of my work there is always a thought – an image, a memory, a feeling or an association. I capture this initial fragment in some form: on paper, on the computer, or in a photograph. It is the raw state, the trace that carries everything. 1. Analogue Reworking / Analoge Überarbeitung From this fragment I develop the first forms further. I work with classical techniques such as watercolor, etching, drawing or collage. In this step I inscribe my hand, my physical gesture, directly into the work. Every line, every surface remains as a mark of my intervention – deliberately irreplaceable by a machine.

About Me/Über mich

For more than three decades, art has not been something I do – it is something I live. Painting, drawing, graffiti, street art, digital transformations: all are expressions of the same energy that has driven me for 36 years. My path began in the Hip-Hop and graffiti scene of 1990s Stuttgart, where I learned that art means freedom – not following rules, but creating your own. From the streets to the studio, I have always chosen independence over conformity. Over the years, countless works have appeared in the global street art context – sometimes anonymously, sometimes under other names – always outside the market, always uncompromising. At the same time, I have developed my practice across painting, drawing and experimental formats. Although I hold several qualifications in art and design, I consider myself an autodidact at the core. My artistic language was not learned in classrooms but shaped by lived experience, by constant exploration, and by moving between subculture and con...
